Quarantine season one is long gone, and the desire to break free from cabin fever has been immensely high. Quarantine season two is just starting, and it seems promising, but my inner cynical Miranda Hobbes isn’t impressed.
Spring has finally sprung, and as much as I want to be out and enjoy the highly anticipated Spring weather, I'm still pro-mask and pro-stay-my-ass-home. Catch me inside and planning my escape via cottagecore, virtual music/ASMR rooms, and field walking recordings on YouTube for an added level of immersive escapism. You can travel without leaving the comfort of your bedroom or even moving a muscle, which will happen since these videos will induce a delicious slumber.
My lovely and wildly creative friend Deb (insert #TRL scream here) is the catalyst for my latest life soundtrack take-over, without realizing it. She posted a recommendation on her Twitter, and the rest is HERstory (thank you, Diosa). As social constraints continue to be limited, virtual traveling and escapism is the safest way to go, so no catching feelings or planes for now. Maybe I’ll see you in my dreams instead? ✈

Welcome to the regular Monday post. On top of fun content, it’s my sarcastic weekly wrap-up of all the week’s celebrity chaos and other current pop culture happenings like trailers/film announcements and more.
⚡ Here’s a lightning round of the spectacle that is celebrities:
“Billionaire” asks fans to donate money for her makeup artist Sam Rauda while only contributing a measly $5k. A paltry financial resolution from someone who gifted their toddler a $12 000 Birkin backpack for school. As a member of a well-documented wealthy klan, who are known to show off their flossy ways— ma’am, open up one of your many Birkins instead.
Former MTV News correspondent SuChin Pak recently spoke about a former co-worker’s past racist experience during her MTV time via her Instagram. Internet investigators have discovered that, allegedly, Iann Robinson is the culprit within the timeline of events. Fuck him.
One month after Black History Month, Justin Bieber thinks he did something by sampling Dr. Martin Luther King in a song.
The Golden Globes are sitting in the filthy making of their creation.
James McAvoy gets baked for ‘Stand Up to Cancer.’
The worst line uttered from a joker, “we live in a society,” is now on merch despite George Constanza saying it first and better.
CW/TW
‘Effie’ has come forward with r*pe allegations against Armie Hammer, and the LAPD is investigating.Vanessa Hudgens’ best role is her Thanos meets LA-realness when on Instagram Live. Happy anniversary to 2nd best trainwreck of a quarantine video, the winner being the celeb-riddled Imagine video.

I’ve been waiting on this one because of the casting of Idris Elba, Caleb McLaughlin, Jharrel Jerome, Byron Bowers, Lorraine Toussaint, and Method Man.Four Good Days.
Starring an unrecognizable Mila Kunis.WeWork: Or the Making and Breaking of a $47 Billion Unicorn.
This Hulu doc looks as unhinged as the company’s downfall. I’m here for it.Godzilla VS. Kong. Godzilla fans don’t hurt anyone, and I love that toxic Estar Guars and Marvel super stans; please take notes.
Netflix’s Luis Miguel The Series is going to have all the Latinx moms hot and bothered.
🌠 Don’t miss out on exclusive posts like TGIF’s An Ode to Blockbuster Experience! Additionally, look out for the second official style, Influence.
No, not like ‘influencers’ as in current surface-level tastemakers but rather Influence as Mary-Kate and Ashley. This monthly hump-day stylistic highlight will drop on Wednesdays, so keep an eye out. January’s spotlight was Mary-Kate Olsen, any guesses who the next will be? 👀

🚨 CALL TO ACTION, YOUTHQUAKES 🚨
Dismantling racism means combating it in our personal lives and denouncing the toxic idealogy of white supremacy. Not speaking out or not calling out problematic internalized bias around us isn’t helping anyone; it’s silent complicity.
Unlearning begins with us, and we must be proactive in amplifying the voices of those unheard, so utilize social media. Your grid can benefit from helping one person in a small way. Although no color-block squares on Instagram, please that level of spreading awareness is a bottom-level pat-on-the-back of doing the bare minimum. We can’t be allies if we make it about ourselves or our perceived feelings or talk over communities when we listen and validate others’ experiences.
