🎥 Apple Original limited series, The Shrink Next Door

ICYMI: the first look at the highly anticipated, eight-episode limited series inspired by true events, The Shrink Next Door.
The Shrink Next Door details the bizarre relationship between psychiatrist to the stars Dr. Isaac “Ike” Herschkopf (played by Rudd) and his longtime patient Martin “Marty” Markowitz (played by Ferrell). Throughout their relationship, the all-too-charming Ike slowly inserts himself into Marty’s life, even moving into Marty’s Hamptons home and persuading Marty to name him president of the family business. The series explores how a seemingly normal doctor-patient dynamic morphs into an exploitative relationship filled with manipulation, power grabs, and dysfunction at its finest. The series also stars Kathryn Hahn as ‘Phyllis,’ Marty’s younger sister, and Casey Wilson as ‘Bonnie,’ the wife of Dr. Herschkopf.
Directed by Michael Showalter and Jesse Peretz, and based on the script by Emmy, Golden Globe, BAFTA, WGA Award winner Georgia Pritchett, The Shrink Next Door hails from Civic Center Media in association with MRC Television. The series is based on the #1 new podcast of 2019 by Wondery and Bloomberg Media.
🎥 Apple TV+’s Ted Lasso

Lasso hive, our time is almost here! Apple TV+ released the trailer for the highly anticipated second season of the beloved award-winning comedy series Ted Lasso on Friday, July 23rd (the 12-episode second season will premiere with the first episode, followed by one new episode weekly, every Friday).
🚨 Film Adaptation!
MGM’s Orion Pictures acquires the rights to adapt Michelle Zauner’s (Japanese Breakfast) New York Times Best Selling memoir, Crying In H Mart, for the screen; with Stacey Sher and Jason Kim producing, and Japanese Breakfast providing the soundtrack for the film.
Zauner’s book sounds fantastic; I can’t wait to read it; I need to find spare time. Crying In H Mart is available via Knopf.
“It is a surreal thrill to have the opportunity to memorialize my mother in film, and I consider it of the highest honor to pursue that task alongside creative luminaries such as Stacey Sher, Jason Kim, and Orion Pictures,” says Zauner.
🎥 Disney’s Cruella
Disney’s Cruella arrived early on all major digital platforms a few days ago on June 25th (physical copies will be released September 21st). Fans and viewers can enjoy never-before-seen bonus footage and deleted scenes in stunning Ultra HD™ quality and Dolby Atmos.
In this feel-good apocalyptic comedy, freewheeling Liza (Zoe Lister-Jones) scores an invite to one last wild party before the world ends. But making it there won’t be easy after her car is stolen, and the clock is ticking on her plan to tie up loose ends with friends and family. So accompanied by her younger self (Cailee Spaeny), Liza embarks on a hilarious journey across Los Angeles, running into an eclectic cast of characters.
How It Ends premieres digital and in select theatres on July 20th.
A proposed pipeline creates tension and division within a small town named Beaverfield. Until a snowstorm traps its residents together inside the local inn— causing the town’s newly arrived forest ranger Finn (Sam Richardson) and postal worker Cecily (Milana Vayntrub) to try and keep the peace. While also uncovering the truth behind a mysterious creature that’s begun terrorizing the community. Don’t miss this unexpected comedic delight, now in theaters nationwide.
🚨 Concert Daze ⚡
I’ve been moderately booked and busy that I’ve somehow missed when concerts started back up again—finally, some much-needed and well-deserved serotonin by way of live music. With the announcement of Omar Apollo and The Marias, the gigs I’m hoping to see are stacked.

Damon Albarn announces a new album via a new label home at Transgressive Records on November 12th, 2021.
The Nearer The Fountain, More Pure The Stream Flows was originally intended as an orchestral piece inspired by the landscapes of Iceland. This last year has seen Albarn return to the music in lockdown and develop the work to 11 tracks that further explore themes of fragility, loss, emergence, and rebirth. The result is a panoramic collection of songs with Albarn as a storyteller. The album title is taken from a John Clare poem Love and Memory.
Albarn says, “I have been on my own dark journey while making this record and it led me to believe that a pure source might still exist.”
