Welcome to Youthquake.
What began as a high school research paper on Andy Warhol led me down a pop culture rabbit hole. Years later, I still adore Edie Sedgwick, and this is to honor her and the movement. Since, for me, youthquake was my initial catalyst into self-empowerment at a young age.
Precisely why Youthquake has always been my life-long rejection of woman's idealized expectations; so, of course, my newsletter had to be called Youthquake.
While freelancing/writing continues to be unpredictable, I don’t believe that anyone should create or write for free. However, this newsletter will always have free content featured since it’s also an introduction for an opportunity to be a paid subscriber.
For paid subscribers ($5 a month; or $50 for a whole year), you’ll have access to even more content. Your paid subscription will hopefully evolve into my lifelong dream of writing full-time; in the meantime, they will help me pay for my regular expenses (for example, rent, utilities, & site extras to make Youthquaker cute).
So I sincerely hope you’ll join me and consider supporting my work, free or otherwise; thank you for your support.
